Prime Minister Koivu
Presuming this rando’s math is correct, Ottawa is going to make it and the team that goes on a heater will take the last spot. Habs are in the mix 🎉

Habs are in the mix 🎉 Looking at SOS, Wings and Isles are 1 and 3, in terms of hardest remaining schedule. Rangers and CBJ also in the top 10. The Bs and Sens both have weaker remaining schedules. The Habs also have 2 games remaining against the Sens, and sport a 2-0 record against them this season, outscoring them 9-3. Losing 8 of 9 before the 4 Nations break was really a killer, and is keeping my optimism in check for the remainder of this season.

Habs are in the mix 🎉 At least now that means we are progressing. In the Bergevin/Gaineygoat/Houle eras it usually meant we weren’t good enough o make the playoffs, or bad enough to get a decent draft pick. JoeLassister
Woah. 72M$ (9M$ fo 8 years) This is a lot of money for Jakob Chychrun who has ever played only 1 full season cuz of injuries and never hit the 45 pts mark !?!!
Commandant
I think there are going to be a few contracts that make people go WOAH since the cap projections have come out.

I'm really unsure about player value currently. I think the league is on the cusp of new salary norms 1 minute ago, Commandant said: I think there are going to be a few contracts that make people go WOAH since the cap projections have come out. Yeah I was responding similarly when you posted. With the cap moving big, salaries are going to move big too. We got a bargain on Slaf, Suzy, Caufield and hopefully Hutson soon

I would agree, don't think we will get a Suzuki or Caulfield type deal. The cap is going up and obviously the players and agents are well aware. That's the only reason Chychrun got Makar type money. xXx..CK..xXx
4 teams eliminated in the west. None yet in the east. As for clinching, the announcer of the Islanders & Canes game said that Carolina could clinch today with a win. Turns out that’s inaccurate. While the Rangers can’t catch them, Columbus still can. As well as New Jersey and Montreal. Very unlikely for them to miss but clinch they have not.

Probably likely that TSN picks up Canadiens games again too which I would be happy about. Mike Johnson is a treat
