xXx..CK..xXx
Struble is holding his own. As I said, no Guhle, no excuses.
Prime Minister Koivu
I genuinely LOVE the way Struble muscles other players around. He just pushes them into a heap and seemingly with ease.

But a Frankie Bouillon was physical but smaller and played 700+ games.

He is not as tall as those guys but much stronger, he is built like a tank.

So what is Suzuki at 5'11" and 10lbs heavier? A softer 212lber? Yes, Struble has always been physical specimen they say and has spent alot of time in weight room i assume. But, you notice it when up against the larger forwards, like that Sabre fellow who tried to get Dobes to react.

Struble does this in every game. He pushes players so frigging hard that they simply crumple into a pile. Struble must be enormously strong

Prime Minister Koivu
Think about the historic depth of Canadien defence when considering Hutson’s accomplishment! Calder
Commandant
Its also 11th fastest in NHL history (9th in modern era as two are from the very early NHL days). Very impressive.

The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Monty’s a good goalie, a legit #1 G, albeit not elite. It’s been that way since he got here, and it’s time people start accepting it.
Prime Minister Koivu
Lots of positive stats being posted 👍 Once Montreal develops depth of talent we are going to be a great team

I'm pretty sure that if we dip back into posts from just before the 4 Nations, the tone would be a lot more sour. That said: even though IMHO the team has not really looked very good, five straight wins is five straight wins, and the really impressive thing is we're doing it without Guhle. We've been fortunate that 2023-24 Struble suddenly decided to show up. Depth is indeed what we need - it may be ALL that we need in order to be surprisingly good next season. Of course, without Armia, Evans, and Dvorak, our depth will take a hit. So Hugo may have their work cut out for them in order to do more than tread water, depth-wise, but that would be Job One, I'd think.
tomh009
Without Guhle ... and without Dach. While Dach has not been meeting our expectations recently, he's still been well above the AHL level, so that, too, will have some impact.

Habs Fan in Edmonton
One thing for sure, with the Evans resigning, it pretty much guarantees that Dvorak will not be here next year. Not that it was very likely before but this pretty much cements it.

Yeah our centre depth for next season is probably: Suzuki Dach Evans Beck/Kapanen UNLESS Hughes does gets us an upgrade
tomh009
Maybe even Suzuki Dach/Beck/Kapanen Evans

I'm just thinking a second rehab on the same knee that may never have been 100% this season is not a simple 6-7 month recovery
