Luke Schenn to Winnipeg just brought a 2nd and 4th to Pittsburgh. (yes he's signed for next season, but still). I'm definitely trading Savard. I'm definitely trading Savard. For that return, or anything close, sure ... but doubt anyone is offering anything near that for Savard ... more like a 4th, which I-M-O is of less use than being able to leave Mailloux and Reinbacher in Laval (except for a short look-see perhaps) for the remainder of the season. Different kinda players, Schenn still more physical and willing to drop the gloves, isnt he? I didnt even know he was still playing though. Hughes not in a hurry to sell; or maybe thinking resigning him cheap as 3rd pairing PK guy for next year?
alfredoh2009
trade deadline be like... Kaiden Guhle était de retour sur la glace ce matin à Brossard! Commandant
Hughes said he won't be ready til very late in the regular season/playoffs.... and even if he's "ready" if the Habs are out of the playoff race they will shut him down til September. The (guess)estimates after the injury projected 4-6 months for recovery. He's skating again after less than six weeks, so it must have been a less serious injury than they thought. Did he injure the muscle or did he cut it clean through. Thats a huge difference.

I think so, too. Not nearly as severe a cut as was thought. I trust that the Habs are going to be conservative but there are still 20 games remaining, so I expect to see him playing again unless there is a sudden collapse in the next few weeks. I don't know if Guhle will be able to return this season. It will depend on where we are in the standings. If we're not in the chase anymore, we're going to tell him to focus on next year - Hughes
tomh009
Whether he returns this season or next, a less severe injury is good news either way.

On another note did we ever learn what the Dach injury was. I mean it sounds like MCL or PCL and NOT ACL again if they are projecting him back for camp. Pezzetta played 4:57 had 1 shot and 4 hits. What more do you want from a 4th liner who has hardly played all year? At least he aint a lazy selfish SOB like Laine is, i find that harder to stomach, seeing him coasting from opposing blue line back to own end and arrive too late to ever help. I haven’t seen a single piece of reporting on this. That kind of makes think that whatever was wrong with Laine was very minor. OR maybe there is no reporting because Montreal is out west and reporters are in Montreal

Commandant
Right now Joshua Roy hs been recalled as an "emergency recall" so he doesn't count against the four recalls. If Laine is healthy, he will need to be converted to regular recall, and become the Habs 3rd of 4 Callups (Beck and Dobes were the first 2 due to papering).
