Depending on the offer, the money may have been better there. And the benefits may be way better than what you get in the AHL. Plus he will be close to his family and friends. Its just some random fan making shit up. Dont think we need to worry.

Unless the initial offer was Huberdeau for Gallagher and Anderson I would hope HuGo hangs up.

I've seen those links for a while but never clicked on one before, that's seriously where they're pulling these from...wow. Looking at the proposed offer in there, it's fair to say that came from a Calgary fan on PuckPedia.

No doubt, and we only have to give up one 1st round pick. One of the most unrealistic trade proposals I have come across. A complete joke. Let me take a second to remind you all who our GM is. Ain't no way in hell Hughes make a trade of that ilk. I would not be opposed to bringing in Huberdeau HOWEVER they would most definitely be retaining a large chunk of salary as well taking on short term dead weight contracts AS WELL as providing us with valuable futures.. TurdBurglar
According to Pierre LeBrun, Montreal was one of 5 teams in on Askarov. No mention of what the offer may of been.

I definitely see Hughes kicking tires but with Monty seemingly emerging as a #1 goalie and Fowler in the pipeline, don't think there was a sense of urgency there. I am assuming it would have been Fowler plus some other assets. If that's true then it gives further vindication that Fowler is a pretty good prospect. So who the heck knows?

Lee is 34, best years are behind him. It is a doozy of a rumour. The Evans rumour is very reasonable, I can certainly see the Habs trading him with Beck and Kapanen knocking on the door. tomh009
But are they actually credible trade rumours or is somebody just making this stuff up to get clicks?
TurdBurglar
The Evans rumour seems like it could legit on value alone. The Dobson rumour is kinda out there. The value going to NYI is way too high.
